Who We Are

About Sanctuary Trust

Sanctuary Trust works across two sites and can accommodate a total of 24 men within the two properties. To help the men solve their own problems, achieve their goals and move back into society, Sanctuary Trust works with a range of voluntary and States agencies, such as: Alcohol and Drugs; Mental Health services at La Chasse; the Royal British Legion; Social Security; Silkworth Lodge; Citizen’s Advice; HMP La Moye; Health and Social Services; Probation Services; the Grace Trust; Freedom for Life and many, many churches across the island who have supported the charity from its inception.

Sanctuary Trust is largely funded through donations and fund-raising initiatives with every penny raised going to maintain the services provided. In addition to accommodation and support for its male clients, Sanctuary Trust also provides an outreach service.

In addition to providing support and accommodation to the men needing our help, we work with them on finding employment, voluntary opportunities and eventually their own independent accommodation. The aim of all we do is to help the men regain their self-respect and dignity so they can once again become contributing members of society.
